Who we are

Meet the youth-led network empowering young people across Nigeria.

Our story began with a simple truth, young people deserve safe spaces, honest information, and dignified care. But for too long, they have faced silence, stigma, and unsafe pathways to support. We stepped in to change that.

The health and rights of young people in Nigeria are among the most pressing challenges of our time. Millions of adolescents and youth struggle daily with limited access to accurate information, safe services, and supportive care, leaving them vulnerable to untreated infections, unintended pregnancies, stigma, and lost opportunities for education and growth.

At APYIN, we believe every young person deserves the tools to build a healthier future. We are a youth-led network active in all 36 states, connecting over 50,000 members through safe spaces, peer support, and advocacy. By linking young people to confidential testing, treatment referrals, and sexual and reproductive health services, we close the gaps that too often leave them unheard or unprotected. Beyond health, we champion their rights — building leaders, strengthening communities, and ensuring that dignity and privacy are never compromised. Together with partners and allies, we work to transform challenges into opportunities, so that today’s young people can step confidently into tomorrow.
